Should I get a thick or thin bamboo mat to make California sushi rolls?

I recently learned how to make homemade California Sushi Rolls and I am going to go buy some supplies. However, I don’t know if I should get a thin bamboo mat or a thick bamboo mat to roll these. Can anyone help with this? Thanks in advance!

the first time i ever made sushi, i bought a kit, where they supplied a thin bamboo mat, i thought that was good. but then i got a job at a local sushi bar and they used the bigger mats and i found them being a lot more comfortable, because the smaller ones are quiet flexible and pretty hard to handle, especially for beginners.

I’M AT LEVEL 4!!!!!!!! The party begins in 4 hours. Who wants to come?

I am going all out. Open bar (top shelf naturally) semi clad dancers of Indian origin, (twins in those cute little saris) lobster flown in from Maine, hand massaged beef from Japan, sushi chef, full band (not that hip hop stuff) and roses for all the ladies and men that act like ladies. What the h**** it’s a party!! Anthony will be there serving and bowing, the neighbor has been disarmed (less said about that the better) I want to see all my friends tonight. After a night of debauchery and glee, we will all pile into the limos and head to Las Vegas! Just another day in paradise. So who’s in? Only room for about 750. Better rsvp NOW!
Oh, one more thing. Due to security concerns, there will be a full body cavity search required before attendence. Good news is that I will be doing it. Except fot the ones I delegate to Anthony.
Oh, one more thing. Since I am now at level 4, 3s and below don’t come.

Sounds fantastic, but distance is a factor. I fear the party would be over by the time I arrived. I’ll dream tonight of undergoing a body cavity search by my faceless lover.
